The existing image for this article appears blank. The Massachusetts historical society appears to have two images in their catalog. I am not sure if they are copyrighted but you have to pay to actually get them. The Battle of Olustee web site that is linked on the Wiki article has a picture of E.N. as a major. I think this image is in public domain. If anyone knows for sure what its status is it would be a good picture. I imagine it was taken in Boston before the 54th departed for S.C. as he was a LTC by the storming of Wagner.Tuelj (talk) 20:13, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

"Edward's father was also a passionate abolitionist. The family was far more than passive meeting attenders. The family's summer home was employed as a stop on the Underground Railroad."

The middle sentence is oddly placed, in between two sentences about slavery, given the impression that the middle sentence is somehow related.

It's also imprecise language. "The family was far more than passive meeting attenders." What does that mean? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomaso (talk • contribs) 04:17, 12 April 2015

I imagine it was taken in Boston before the 54th departed for S.C. as he was a LTC by the storming of Wagner.Tuelj (talk) 20:13, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Odd sentence location

[edit]

"Edward's father was also a passionate abolitionist. The family was far more than passive meeting attenders. The family's summer home was employed as a stop on the Underground Railroad."

The middle sentence is oddly placed, in between two sentences about slavery, given the impression that the middle sentence is somehow related.

It's also imprecise language. "The family was far more than passive meeting attenders." What does that mean? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomaso (talkcontribs) 04:17, 12 April 2015
