David - we should be on [[User talk:Huppybanny]] for this, really. The answer is no, anyway. We're dealing with finite groups, so saying 'Lie group' is not useful. 'Group of Lie type' roughly means, coming from a Lie algebra out of the list of classical simple algebras, but taken over finite field. |
