"why is this such a big issue with me" I'd be pissed if someone was putting the wrong infromation about me, on countless websites it states that she is half african-american. Only on about two websites have I seen Jamaican, and this isn't a "big" issue with me, its just that I don't want wrong infromation to be recorded, cause like I said, I'd be pissed if that was me. Also If like you said there is a good reference to back that shes jamaican, then please tell me what that reference is |

[edit]Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Alicia Keys. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Modifying cite quote. Adding information that directly conflicts with a reliable source. Hearsay is not more reliable than published information. NrDg 17:44, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to articles, as you did at Alicia Keys. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you want to change info backed up with a reference, find a reference that backs up what you think. NrDg 23:56, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]The fansite you used to source her father as African-American is a fansite, so it doesn't count as a reliable source of information. I don't understand why this is a big issue with you, by the way. No one is doubting that her father is black, it's just that he is Jamaican, not American, so he cannot be an "African-American". I live on an island that is 85% black, but I haven't seen an "African-American" in years.Kww (talk) 02:46, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
