Although Rube strongly disapproves of Mason's drug use, he has a soft spot for him. Rube took Mason home when he became seriously ill after attempting to smuggle a balloon full of heroin. The balloon burst in Mason's body and while a Reaper cannot die, they can get very sick. Rube was very angry at Mason, but he took care of him until he was back on his feet. Mason and George are very close, but their relationship is more of a brother and sister. |
