Billy Bison is the mascot for the ABA's (American Basketball Association) Kentucky Bison. Billy was added to the Owensboro program to symbolize the face of the organization and to promote an entertaining atmosphere for all of the 'Bisonhead' fans. |

Billy performs mainly in the Owensboro Sports Center, but he is know to be seen in many charitable and community events. |

In the first year of the teams orginization Billy has won over the hearts of many fans and has changed the face for the ABA's mascots. Billy Bison self-declareds himself to be the "ABA's number one mascot." This is a title that has neven been neither confirmed nor challenged. |

At the end of the season in 2009, Billy subbed into the final 13 seconds of an actual game, thus making him the only mascot to play in a professional ballgame! According to Billy's handler, J.D. Menser, "Billy set two screens, and got foulded three times but the refs never saw it!" |

Billy's handler J.D. Menser was a performer at Western Kentucky University where he worked with the world famous Big Red mascot. J.D.'s main goal is to help establish a program that meets the kids, reaches the families, and entertains everyone. |
