The Music Video premiered on [[VEVO]] on May 25, 2010. The director is [[Melina Matsoukas]] who also did [[Rihanna]]’s [[Hard (song)|Hard]] and [[Rude Boy (song)|Rude Boy]] videos. The music video for Rockstar 101 is her second black-and-white video after her [[Wait Your Turn]] video and it features scenes when Rihanna is with horns and has a [[blackface]] look. [[Slash (musician)|Slash]] does not appear in the video though towards the end of the video, Rihanna wears a hat, sun glasses and a wig of long curly hair as those of Slash. |
