Moved from the "Details" section:

: *9/11 occurred three weeks into the film's run, so a humorous scene in the first 15 minutes or so of the players running down a casino hotel emergency stairwell instead disgusted movie goers; the film was then pulled from distribution.

I couldn't find any evidence backing up this claim. Rat Race's [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0250687/business weekend gross as outlined on IMDB] doesn't show signs of a sudden drop-off or backlash against the film after 9/11. I couldn't find any news reports mentioning disgusted viewers, either, and according to IMDB the film was shown in US theatres until December 2001. Are there any sources for this?
