'''Aldersgate Christian School''' is a private pre-elementary and elementary school located at San Jose Proper, [[San Luis, Pampanga]], [[Philippines]]. It aims to provide an excellent learning environment for children for their intellectual, moral, social, spiritual and physical growth. ==History==

The school was established April 25, 1997 and started operation June 5, 1997 through the efforts of the local [[United Methodist Church]] of San Jose accredited by CECED (Commission on Early Childhood Education and Development) and UMC Bulacan Philippines Annual Conference administered by Rolando Javier, administrative pastor at the time sponsored by some able members from the United States of America. Mr. Danilo Cao was assigned principal and his wife, assistant. Preparatory courses for nursery and kindergarten were opened simultaneously with Mrs. Nolly Dayrit as the pioneer teacher with the Department of Education permit to operate. Sheila Binuya became the second teacher followed by Helen Asuncion. Anna Magtalas served one year until in 2007 when Estrella Burayag was assigned as woman worker of San Jose United Methodist church and took charge of teaching. Pastors assigned in the local church automatically became administrator of the school.

==Establishment of Elementary==
The establishment of elementary was proposed on March 15, 2010 by the church council of San Jose UMC headed by Priscila taruc together with recommendations from partners abroad and Gregorio Rodel, administrative pastor at the time. The UMC Northeast district superintendent, Emil Macarasig, approved the proposal made the Baliuag Cross and Flame Academy to become the school's umbrella. At the time of Rev. Romeo Bernardino, June 5, 2010 the elementary extension has operated with Gemma S. Musni as the grade one teacher. Estrella Burayag still took charge of teaching pre-elementary students. Joel France was assigned principal of the school and began the process of creating a new independent school with the same name and objectives.

==The Incorporation==

October 15, 2010 the process of independence began and a new corporation was born to administer the school and help the local church. The Good Shepherd Education and Youth Development, Inc. was established with endorsement from the Department of Education and approval from Securities and Exchange Commission. Members of which are all faithful to the same Christian vision and mission to educate children.

The school follows the [[DepEd]]-imposed Basic Education Curriculum and at the same with CECED's standard in teaching Christian Living and Values Education according to the teachings believed for by the members of The United Methodist Church. The school maintains its non-sectarian policy regarding accepting students who wanted to enroll. The students are free to exercise their own religion and the school respects their identities.

==Scholarship==
Aldersgate Christian School of Pampanga is one of the country's private charitable school which collects very low rate of tuition fees. The school has given scholarship to those who are qualified but could not afford to pay. The scholars applied for by the parents and the school board determined whether they get full or partial support depending on their needs. The school is the church's extension of service to educate children and share knowledge to parents.
