Hi! I'm Lakmiseiru, and I've recently gotten semi-addicted to the joys of editing Wikipedia articles.
I am currently a graduate student in biology, specifically studying evolutionary genetics and speciation at the University of Washington in Seattle. I'm an alumna of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I majored in biology, with specific interests in evolutionary biology and genetics. I used bioinformatics in my undergraduate research, as it is a useful set of tools. I'm also interested in music, specifically musical composition ranging from medieval music through electronica.
As a result, most of the Wikipedia articles I've worked on are related to biology and music, which are my areas of expertise. I'm at somewhat of a loss how to contribute on many of the biology articles that have so much written already, but I'm sure I'll find a way. Plus, there's always cleanup...
