'''Technologists''' are using individuals who are graduate of an accredited curriculum in Electrical Engineering Technology, and have at least two or more years experience in their related field. The course taken by an engineering technologist shall be based upon a core of applied science and applied mathematics which will allow the technologist to use mathematics in the testing and analysis of technical problems. Courses will also have included the fundamentals of science and engineering relating to a particular area or specialty, such as control or automation engineering. Academic and theory are followed by laboratory work, which amounts to about one-third of the total curriculum. |

In occupation, the function of an engineer technologist may vary widely. It can range from simple tasks, such as work performed by a recent graduate, to complex functions as that of professional engineers and engineering supervisors, where sound and responsible judgements are essential. |
