== Company History ==
Traxon Technologies was established in [[Frankfurt am Main, Germany]], in 1995. Originally in the emerging [[LED]] market as a producer of small boutique retail LED products, Traxon’s focus began to change as it pioneered its Mood Light Classic panel, a remotely-controlled LED fixture for the consumer market<ref>{{cite web|url=ftp://74.10.72.90/ck_internal/comp/Traxon-4-03.pdf}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=http://allwomenstalk.com/its-a-light-show-for-any-room-the-mood-light-classic-panel}}</ref>. Traxon moved its headquarters to Hong Kong in 1997.

Traxon made an official shift from business-to-consumer lifestyle products in 2002, into the professional architectural lighting industry<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www1.traxontechnologies.com/about_traxon/history}}</ref>. With research and development divisions in both Hong Kong and Germany, Traxon was serving ten overseas offices as well as a network of distributors, integrators, and clients worldwide<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www1.traxontechnologies.com/about_traxon/history}}</ref>. Traxon began marketing their basic LED lighting and control products.

During the international Light+Building conference in 2005, Traxon was introduced to e:cue lighting control<ref>{{cite web|title=e:cue website|url=http://www.ecue.com/about-ecue/history.html}}</ref>, a company of which it would become a shareholder one year later, eventually creating a combined Research and Development Center in Paderborn, Germany. Then, Traxon Technologies acquired e:cue lighting control.
Market position was strengthened in March 2009<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.ledsmagazine.com/articles/2011/11/osram-acquires-remaining-traxon-shares-announces-new-ir-led.html}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.charroninc.com/traxon-technologies-acquired-by-osram.html}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.osram.com/osram_com/press/press-releases/_business_financial_press/2011/traxon/index.jsp}}</ref> when Traxon entered into a joint venture with OSRAM, a partnership which ultimately led to OSRAM's complete acquisition of Traxon in 2011.
