I wasn't sure whether those characters were hyphens or endashes. So.... After attempting to replace individual characters by copy/pasting an endash character from the "how to make dashes" page: All Wikipedia content – articles, categories, templates, and other types of pages – is edited collaboratively.
Here's a hyphen followed by (presumably) and endash: -– they sure do look the same.
