The ETS (Electric Train Service) Express Route is a new electrified high-speed commuter rail service from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur and Seremban in Malaysia. It was introduced by Keretapi Tanah Melayu on 12 August 12 2010. This service runs through three states and one federal territory, of which all are located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. There are nine (no Sungai Buloh KTM station) stations along the route: three in Perak, one in Selangor, three in Kuala Lumpur, and two in Negeri Sembilan.

All five train sets are by Marubeni Corperation, but it was built by Rotem of Korea and Mitsubishi Electric of Japan. The design of the train sets follows very closely to the IE 22000 Class of Ireland's InterCity trains. Major diffrence between the trainsets in Ireland and Malaysia is Ireland is using broad gauge rail while Malaysia is using meter gauge rails.

The maximum operational speed of the ETS fleet is 140 km/h. However, the ETS trains are designed to travel up to 160 km/h. The passenger capacity of each train is 350. Each train consists of six carriages and it has a total length of 138m and weight of 231.8 tons. Each carriage is 22.95m long, 2.75m wide and 4m tall.
