Hello. I notice that except for your recent edits this portal has been quiet. The news section and featured game section had not been changed in a while so I updated them. I have an interest in Chess and am willing to do some updates as time allows. This is my first involvement in a portal so if you had the time to look over my additions and let me know if I am on the right track I would appreciate it. Cheers. : Looking good. Please, contribute as much as you like to the portal. It seems as though the original movers and shakers ([[User:Bcat|Bcat]] mostly) have moved and shaken on. [[User:Cjpuffin|Cjpuffin]] 19:35, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
