In 1922, Dr. C.S. Cleveland Sr. and Dr. Ruth R. Cleveland, husband and wife started Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City with three students. As the next generation of doctors of chiropractic, their son, Carl Jr., and his wife, Mildred Allison, assisted in the growth of the profession and the College.
