He is the editor of [[rabble.ca]], Canada's most widely-read progressive website, and his writings on foreign policy, Canadian politics, ecology and other topics have been published in a number of both alternative and mainstream publications. O'Keefe is the co-writer of the autobiography of Afghan women's rights activist and politician [[Malalai Joya]] -- A Woman Among Warlords (Scribner 2009) -- and is currently writing a book on the politics and ideas of [[Michael Ignatieff]], to be published by [[Verso Books]] in 2010.
