Mr. Hayes is a character acted by [[Evan Parke]] in [[Peter Jackson]]'s version of [[King Kong (2005)]]. He is the first mate on Captain Englehorn's ship and he is a key park of the expedition on [[Skull Island]]. Mr. Hayes was in [[World War I]] as stated by himself in the film. He was trained by a drill sergeant and taught how to use firearms properly. Mr. Hayes cares more for Jimmy, the runt of the crew, than anyone else. He is Jimmy's father figure and sacrifices his life to save Jimmy's. Mr. Hayes is also a well-learned person as he is able to recite a large passage of [[Heart of Darkness]] from memory. Mr. Hayes life was brought to an abrupt end in a battle with King Kong. |
