This project ought to be quite similar to the other WikiProjects for music genres, such as [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Hip Hop|WikiProject Hip Hop]] and [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Classical music|WikiProject Classical Music]]. Its purpose will be to facilitate the creation, maintainence, and improvement of articles and templates related to country music, including but not limited to those concerning country-music artists, albums, songs, and subgenres. We will also seek to elevate a number of country-music articles to [[Wikipedia:What is a featured article|featured status]], since there currently are none. We might also develop a country-music [[Wikipedia:Portal|portal]] if we decide that one would be appropriate. |
