Krishnapura (Tulu, Kannada: ಕೃಷ್ಣಾಪುರ ) is a village located near Surathkal and comes under the limits of Mangalore City Corporation, Karnataka, India. The place is 3 kilometre from the heart of Suratkal town. The original inhabitants of this area were mostly around Krishnapura Matha. Most of the area before 1970's were covered by evergreen forests mostly of ebony trees. The government took over land mostly belonging to Krishnapura Matha and handed over for rehabitation of evacutee's affected by project of new sea port at Panambur. Many residents of this place were relocated from Panambur, when the New Mangalore Port Trust was established. In 1969 the families situated at Baikampady were rehabilitated at Krishnapura and were alloted house sites of 12.5 cents each.

It also houses the Krishnapura Matha (Monastery), one of the ashta (eight ) matha's founded by Dvaita philosopher Shri Madhvacharya. The matha is very ancient one.

The Mukhyaprana (Hanuman) god inside the Krishnapura matha is considered very sacred. The Krishnapura Matha was built several centuries ago and has marvelous wooden carving. The building is supported by gigantic wooden pillars. It is rare to found such intricate wood carving of such large scale in today's world. The building shows mastery and skills of our ancestors.

There is a famous Temple called Vishvanatha temple built in 1960. There is also a small Chapel where Christians of Krishnapura, Surathkal, Katipalla gather each Sunday for prayers and worship. The Chapel was built in 1997 and it is currently under renovation.
