This award winning museum (most recently the Glenfiddich and Kintore awards) looks at the most important aspect of life in the Kingdom of Fife -- its people. Spanning two centuries, the collection comprises objects, fine art, documents and costumes illustrating the working and social lives of the people of Fife. |

Centrally located within the small historic burgh of Ceres, it is easy to find. The Bishop's Bridge leads from the free car park to the Fife Folk Museum. |
See displays covering the life and work of local people in the past. Interesting exhibits show local trades, crafts, reconstructions of traditional rural cottage interiors and costumes dating from the 18th century. There is even a prisoner hidden in the dungeon! |
The Mill House Coffee Shop is located next door to the Museum, serving coffee and home made food. There are also two pubs (Meldrums Hotel and the Ceres Inn) within walking distance from the Museum. |
The Museum shop offers a range of quality gifts and publications. It focuses on local crafts and skills, with work by local artists. Explore the museum's beautiful village by taking the 45 minute Ceres Village Heritage Trail. A copy of the trail map can be obtained in the gallery. |
A large number of visitors come year on year. The museum is introducing an exciting, changing programme of exhibitions in its modern museum extension. For further information please contact curator Lauren Northup at 01334 828 180. <!-- Unsourced image removed: [[Image:BackMuseumSmall.jpg]] --> |
