Profile
Jasmine
Jasmine is a student of medicine both modern and traditional, searching for a cure for her grandfather's illness. She is a bit of a hothead, but she'll brave any danger for her family. Jasmine tries very hard to deduce the identities of Team ProtoMan's members, but as a result is partly responsible for ProtoMan's disappearance. She tries against Lan's wishes with Meddy to save him.

Meddy
Meddy is Jasmine's NetNavi. Her cute demeanor and gentle heart shines alongside her operator. These two medics in training go out of their way to help those in need. Meddy has adapted her knowledge of curing biological viruses to techniques for virus busting. Meddy has also developed the ability to restore corrupted Navi data.

In the videogame
Jasmine and Meddy first appeared in MegaMan Battle Network 5: Team Protoman. Meddy is fought at the Undernet. Her biggest strength in battle are the effects of her Meddy Capsules, which yeilds different status ailments, including blind. However, Meddy's biggest weakenss is her lack of close-range attacks, making her extremly vunderable to Battlechips like TimeBom and BoyBomb; combind with AreaGrab, she is almost defenseless. She and Jasmine join Team Protoman after the battle. Many players consider Meddy to be one of the easier bosses in the game, as well as one of the more harder characters to control.

Attacks
Meddy has three attacks she uses against Megaman. They are as followed:
*Meddy Capsule - Two pills are lobbed onto Megaman's side of the field and explode seconds later. The direction the explosion covers depends on the way the pill is facing when it lands. Each pill color has a different effect (see Meddy Soul).
*Chemical Flash - Two sphere-shaped capsules appear on Megaman's side and slowly move towards each other. When they make contact, Megaman's side is covered in the explosion. The blue capsule has 25HP and can be deleted.
*Heal Ball - A slow moving ball homes in on Megaman. If hit, his HP is drained and transfered to Meddy. Fourtunetly, it's only used when Meddy's HP is low and it is easy to avoid.

Liberation ability
Meddy's special ability in liberation missions is called Twin Liberation. She and another Navi (usually Gyroman because of his ability to travel over dark panels) attempt to liberate up to 6 panels forward between each other. The move is very useful, but has one big risk; if ether Navi fails, the entire liberation fails.

Meddy Soul
Megaman receives the Meddy Soul after Liberation Mission #6. To activate this form, a Healing Chip must be sacrifice. While active, Megaman is able to add effects to chips using different-colored pills that show up below your normal chip selection. The colors and effects of each pill are as follows:
*Black: Blind
*Pink: Recover HP when you use your chip
*Purple: HP Bug (drain HP of enemy, only works in NetBattles with other people)
*Yellow: Confusion
*White: Paralysis

Meddy Chaos
If Megaman sacrifices the DrkRecov Chip instead, he activates Meddy Chaos. This ability lets the Charge Shot recover 1000 HP to Megaman (the same effect as the DrkRecov Chip, but without the side effects, so long as the charge is not released when it is green).

In the Anime
Lan must track her down and sneak into the medicine company's research lab to save Jasmine. Lan manages to save her, and Megaman rescues Meddy.

¹ It should be noted that Choina is not a typo of China, the country is actually called Choina.
