In the early days, tennis in Cyprus was lit up with the explosive Thomas McNally, climbing through the ranks to reach a dizzying high of No 17 in ALL of cyprus. He was famous for his handling of balls and a dynamite serve that could reach speeds of over 9000 mph. His boyish good looks and his well trimmed beard would make the ball girls weak at the knees.
It was a sad day for world tennis when Mr Thomas Mcnally announced his retirement from the beautiful game. A crippling crack addiction and his sexuality in question made it impossible for Thomas to remain in the spotlight.

R.I.P

Long live 17.
