Christopher Henderson is a fictional character on the television series 24 portrayed by Peter Weller. |
==Day 5== |
Christopher Henderson is first implicated as a suspect in the nerve gas incidents when a connection was found with the nerve gas and Omicron International, the company he works for. When Jack Bauer went to his office to find evidence connecting him with the gas, Henderson proclaimed his innocence and offered to help Bauer. Henderson them attempts to kill Bauer by using a bomb. Jack escaped and went to Henderson’s home in order to catch him. Henderson refused to give up any information regarding the nerve gas, so Jack brought him into CTU for further interrogation. |
Even under medical interrogation, Henderson would not give up any information regarding the nerve gas. When Tony Almeida learned that Henderson was connected with his wife Michelle Dessler’s death, he decided to get revenge by killing Henderson. Tony had second thoughts about killing Henderson, allowing Henderson to try to kill Tony himself and escape from CTU. |
Later in the day, Henderson became aware of Wayne Palmer’s attempts to unearth evidence relating to the death of his brother David Palmer, and ordered his men to find and kill him. The evidence both Wayne and Henderson are after is a recording which directly implicates President Charles Logan and himself as being involved in the day’s events. Bauer, with the help of Wayne and Evelyn Martin, is able to retrieve the recording, although he is forced to hand it back to Henderson in order to save Audrey Raines. |
Henderson hands the recording to a co-pilot of an international flight. Shortly after Jack and Audrey were able to catch up to and capture Henderson. Henderson claims that if Jack doesn’t let him go, his men will kill Secretary of Defense James Heller. Jack strongly considers letting Henderson go, but Heller doesn’t allow it, blaming himself for not using the evidence against Logan and for not listening to Jack. Heller drives his car off a cliff. Jack leaves to retrieve the recording, and Audrey stays with Henderson. Henderson’s men arrive at his location and he tells them to find and kill Audrey, but a CTU Tac Team led by Curtis Manning arrive in time to save Audrey and take Henderson into custody. |
After Vladimir Bierko escapes from CTU custody, Jack is forced to work with Henderson in order to find and stop him. Henderson refused to help unless Jack helped him fake his own death, as Henderson claims that he will be killed unless he goes dark. Henderson helps CTU extract information from Joseph Malina, which reveals Bierko’s next target as an armed Russian Submarine docked in the bay. |
Jack and Henderson rush towards the submarine. With the help of a surviving petty officer, they manage to get access to the submarine. Henderson disarms the missiles while Jack distracts and kills Bierko. Afterwards Henderson confronts Jack, who reveals he was never going to let Henderson go. Jack kills Henderson because of his involvement in the deaths of David Palmer, Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler. |
