* Ayuba Gana Nandang, a Lieutenant and a Combat Engineer Officer in Nigerian Army Engineers, a Christian, was Born on 21st November 1981 in Gazum chiefdom of Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria into the family of late Mr. Wilson Gana Nandang of Bwarat district and Late Mrs. Paulina Dulcit Nandang of Gazum chiefdom both parents from Langtang North Local Government Area. Ayuba came from a polygamous home. His mother called him "MUTUM" which means "Man". His father had three (3) wives, His mother is the 3rd wife. Ayuba is the 8th child of his mother out of 9 children and the 16th child of his father out of 22 children. Though His mother married her first husband late Sergeant Langnim which she had six (6) children for him. Amongst his brothers from same mother are His Royal Highness, Mr Nimnan Langnim (JP), the paramount ruler of Gazum Chiefdom; Mrs Nanbyen Dashe; Mrs Nanna Sunday Selchum; His younger brother Mr Selnan Gana Nandang and others. While, on his father's side, his brothers/sisters includes Mr Timloh Gana Nandang; Mr Paul Gana Nandang; Mrs Bolcit Salome Akaba; Longfim Gana Nandang ; Ladan Gana Nandang; Mrs Manbyen Bolnap Zwalnan and many others.

* Young Ayuba started his Elementary School at the Local Government Education Authority (L.G.E.A) Primary School in Kumkwam (His Father's Village) in 1988 and later proceed to the Pilot Central Primary School Gazum (His mother's village) in 1993 where he obtained his first school leaving Certificate. Between 1993 to 1999,He was admitted at the Government secondary school Langtang for his senior secondary school certificate. On 28th September 2002, He gained admission into the prestigious Military University in west Africa, Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) as a member of 54th Regular Combatant course to study Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Ayuba was admitted into NDA as an Air Force Cadet but he later changed his Arm of Service to the Army. He graduated on 30th September 2006 with a Bachelor degree in Engineering and was granted a Presidential Commissioned into the Nigerian Army corps of Engineers with the rank of second Lieutenant.

* Lieutenant Ayuba Gana Nandang has participated as Engineer Troop Commander in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations in Liberia (NIBATT 23 UNMIL) between 2009/2010. He is happily Married to Mrs Manko Ayuba Nandang on 6th December 2008. His hobbies includes Writing, Instructing/Teaching, Running and Listening to music.
