'''Welcome!''' |

Do you have a reference for the changes you made to the Pillar of Fire article, I am wary of anything that uses the word "purport". The church in the UK is in that list and has a reference to New York Times and Time magazine. --[[User:Richard Arthur Norton (1958- )|Richard Arthur Norton (1958- )]] 02:21, 26 September 2007 (UTC) |

I am not sure what change to which you are referring. A man by the name of William Seymour stopped at the Pentecostal Union branch in Denver, and met Alma White and her husband Kent. In her book, Demons and Tongues, she contended that Seymour was of questionable character. When the revival started at Azusa Street, Seymour appeared as the leading revivalist. Kent White jouned him in LA, and Alma White reputiated him and the entire "speaking in tongues" movement. |

I did what I could for your article on [[Dr. Johannes Maas]]. Regarding the claims of having many churches worldwide, the burden of proof lies in the claimant. I have a Methodist acquaintance who has served as a missionary leader in India for over 35 years, traveling the country for 6 months every year. In Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, where these churches are supposed to exist, he found no traces of the Pillar of Fire. Indian pastors have been known to erect signs linking them to American missionary organizations and church denominations, in order to solicit funds. A leading pastor from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, recently visited America and spoke in a church in my home city of Akron, Ohio. He pastors one of the largest churches in that city of over one million. When asked about the claim of the Pillar of Fire of having 85 pastors, a Bible College, etc. he said he had never heard of the Pilar of Fire. He is the chaiman of the Vijayawada Church Council. I would be happy to put you in touch with him. The Pillar of Fire website which makes claims of large mission ministries but gives no proof of their existence. |

[[File:Ambox warning yellow.svg|left|link=|alt=Notice|48px|]] |
The file [[:File:Mother Theresa.jpg]] has been [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed for deletion]] because of the following concern: |
Hi Carol, |
<blockquote>unused, low-res, no obvious use</blockquote> |
Me again. I read your user page and I'll see if I can help you address your concerns. The number one problem with the [[Dr. Johannes Maas]] article, as you've noted is that it is unsourced. Wikipedia has lots of help pages and for this you can read [[WP:CITE]]. |
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be [[WP:DEL#REASON|deleted for any of several reasons]]. |
However, I know how hard it can be at first to wallow through all those help pages so I'll try and summarize one easy way for you to cite a source. |
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your [[Help:edit summary|edit summary]] or on [[File talk:Mother Theresa.jpg|the file's talk page]]. |
For one thing, your website mentioned in the article is a source, but it cannot be the only source, as that is a [[WP:Conflict of interest]] and is generally frowned upon. What you need to find are other reliable sources. You mentioned that he was featured in the ''Pitt Homecoming Magazine''. That is a good source. Are there other articles on him in newpapers, books or online? You need to find sources for what you are putting in the article. He met Mother Theresa? Find a source that says so and put it in the article. Here's how: |
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed deletion process]], but other [[Wikipedia:deletion process|deletion process]]es exist. In particular, the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion]] process can result in deletion without discussion, and [[Wikipedia:Files for discussion|files for discussion]] allows discussion to reach [[Wikipedia:Consensus|consensus]] for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> |
Step one: one way to cite a souce like that magazine is to use tags like <nowiki><ref>''Pitt Homecoming Magazine'' Spring 2006 Page??</ref></nowiki> |
<span style="color:red;font-weight:bold;">This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the [[Help:Page history|page history]] of each individual file for details.</span> Thanks, [[User:FastilyBot|FastilyBot]] ([[User talk:FastilyBot|talk]]) 01:00, 5 July 2019 (UTC) |
Typing that will create a footnote like this.<ref>''Pitt Homecoming Magazine'' Spring 2006 Page??</ref> |
So let's say the magazine says that he met Mother Theresa. We can put that reference right after that sentence in the article. |
Step 2: |
To make those footnotes show up in the article you have to have a Notes section like this: |
==Notes== |
<nowiki>{{reflist}}</nowiki> |
Which makes this automatically |
{{reflist}} |
Neat eh? As you browse through the help pages, listed above, you'll soon find that it is not as intimidating as it looks. |
What really helps is to look at other articles in wikipedia. Don't be afraid to hit the edit buton and look at how they are written. As long as you don't hit the Save button, nothing will change. Take a look at [[Mother Theresa]] for example. It's a good one to look at, because it is a [[WP:GA]], which means it is a good article has been worked on by experienced editors and has lots of sources and good information. |
Furthermore, don't be afraid to ask around for help. Everyone here was new once.[[User:CindyBo|<font color="deepskyblue">'''Ci'''</font><font color="hotpink">'''ndy'''</font><font color="goldenrod">'''Bo'''</font>]][[User talk:CindyBo|<font color="deepskyblue">'''talk'''</font>]] 07:43, 6 August 2007 (UTC) |

A {{[[Template:prod|prod]]}} template has been added to the article [[Johannes Maas]], suggesting that it be deleted according to the [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed deletion]] process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's [[Wikipedia:Criteria for inclusion|criteria for inclusion]], and the deletion notice explains why (see also "[[Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not|What Wikipedia is not]]" and [[Wikipedia:Deletion policy|Wikipedia's deletion policy]]). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the <code><nowiki>{{dated prod}}</nowiki></code> notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on [[Talk:Johannes Maas|its talk page]]. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the [[WP:PROD|proposed deletion process]], the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion criteria]] or it can be sent to [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion|Articles for Deletion]], where it may be deleted if [[Wikipedia:Consensus|consensus]] to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{tl|db-author}}. |

==License tagging for Image:Mother Teresa and Dr. Johannes Maas.jpg== |
Thanks for uploading [[:Image:Mother Teresa and Dr. Johannes Maas.jpg]]. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags|image tag]] applied to the [[Wikipedia:Image description page|image description page]] indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. |

I would be happy to have a dialogue with you over these changes.
