He was created by [[Toei Animation]] exclusively for the purpose of showing sort of a "what if..." version of [[Goku (Dragon Ball)|Goku]] . He was sent to [[Earth (Dragon Ball)|Earth]] to destroy it, as the Saiyans worked for the maniacal warlord [[Freeza]], wiping out populations of planets and selling them. Shortly after Goku landed on Earth, he hit his head, erasing all memories he had of being sent to the planet. At the same time, it gave him a pure heart.

With him, he has gathered a medley of ragtag thugs, all of whom are quite strong, but compared to some of the villains in this show's history, are quite weak. Turres' strength is dramatically increased, and once again, Goku is on the unfavorable side of this battle. Goku can only defeat Turres with the [[Genki Dama]], or Spirit Ball (known as the Spirit Bomb in the dub). The massive ball of energy sends Turres to his grave, hopefully never to be seen or heard from again.
