Ballistic is a fictional superhero from the Image Comics comic book series Cyberforce. Created by Marc Silvestri, she first appeared in 1991.

Publication history
Ballistic made semi-regular appearances in the Cyberforce series, and subsequently appeared in a 3 issue self-titled miniseries in 1995. She also costarred in a single issue crossover with Marvel Comics' Wolverine in 1997.

Fictional character biography
Ballistic is Cassandra Lane, the sister of Velocity. The two girls were raised by their mother and abusive stepfather, until finally Cassandra killed him in self defense.

Cassandra was the star pitcher of her high school baseball team due to her mutant abilities, until Tony (her ex-boyfriend) and his gang seriously injured her. Some time later, she was approached by the Cyberdata company, who replaced her arm with a cybernetic one, simultaniously brainwashing her into becoming a SHOC (Special Hazardous Operations Cyborg) for the company. She was assigned to retrieve her sister, Velocity, who had defected to Cyberforce, but wound up having her own memories restored. Soon after she joins the team in their efforts to bring down Cyberdata.

Powers and abilities
Ballistic has superhuman hand-to-eye coordination, giving her near-perfect aim with any thrown object or projectile weapon. Her replacement bionic arm is superhumanly strong and durable.
