===Crest===
The school crest depicts a book rested on top of a shield set in dark blue with white streaks radiating from it. The shield consists of a band of gold above a burning bush. All of this is then encircled by the school motto.

By 1925, the school moved to new premises at Koon Seng Road and was named Choon Guan School. In 1934, Margaret Dryburgh was appointed principal. Educational standards were raised and in 1936 the English section became a separate school called Choon Guan English School. In 1938, it became a 'grant-in-aid' for boys and J R Richardson became the principal. The same year Kuo Chuan Girls' School was opened at 36 Joo Chiat Lane with Margaret Dryburgh as principal. It had one hundred girls and three teachers. During the Japanese occupation, the school was bombed and remained closed for the duration of the war while the boys' school became a Japanese school named Koon Seng Road School. The boys' school was reopened on 24 September 1945. To accommodate those who could not gain admission, Dryburgh English School was established as an afternoon school. The girls' school did not open until the next year, with Monica Mary Sirkett as principal.
The book represents the Bible, the band of gold the light of God, the dark blue the stability of Christianity and the white God's purity and grace.<ref name="ref1">{{cite web |url=http://kuochuanpresbyteriansec.moe.edu.sg/about-us/our-crest-n-motto |title=Our Crest and Motto |author=<!--Not stated--> |website=kuochuanpresbyteriansec.moe.edu.sg |access-date=1 December 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20171002071048/http://kuochuanpresbyteriansec.moe.edu.sg/about-us/our-crest-n-motto |archive-date=2 October 2017 |url-status=dead }}</ref>
