Flood impacts and In-fa

[edit]

Should the impacts from the flooding be added into In-fa's damage and death tolls? Just want to make sure. I would think it would be due to In-fa playing a large part in bringing the moisture need to start the floods over to Henan and, well, starting them in general. StopBoi (talk) 00:16, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese Wikipedia actually includes the Henan floods as part of In-fa's damage, it's only here that it isn't (yet) CycloneEditor (talk) 04:07, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay! Thank you. StopBoi (talk) 14:40, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Upon checking Chinese Wikipedia, the damages of Henan floods (due to In-fa) and the system itself was included. The Wikipedia treated In-fa as the costliest typhoon on record (when adjusted with inflation) with >$16 billion. i don't know if we will treat the same here. 🌀HurricaneParrot🐦 07:48, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It depends on if In-fa is officially recognized as responsible for the floods imo. Plus, we don't even know the true damages of In-fa itself after the China landfalls, it could actually be pretty high considering $2 bill was from before landfall. Chinese Wikipedia is a different situation due to the fact that its the wikipedia of the country In-fa impacted, whereas English Wikipedia has countries In-fa did not impact, so they see it different. I think we should wait for official sources for the damages for now. StopBoi (talk) 19:29, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
