All Memon groups are belongs to same origin. They belongs to Hindu Lohana business community residents of a place near Thatta namely "Darya" village. Those members who converted to Islam called "Memon". Later they migrated to Indian provinces of Gujrat and Maharashtra for business. Memon todays can be divided into two main group;
1. Sindhi Speaking Memon
2. Gujrati Memon
Memon who remains in areas of Sindh like Thatta, Hala, Nasarpur and Shikarpur called Sindhi Memon. They still speaking Sindhi.
