I'm pretty sure you're right, that a sphere is mentioned in the list of destruction in Phlebas (I actually assumed it was a Dyson Sphere when I read that, but after reading Windward it would make sense for it to be an Air Sphere), but there's no indication anywhere that spheres are specifically Culture habitats. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

While your points about the Shoe Event Horizon were completely accurate, I didn't feel it warranted a mention on the main page about the Guide only because, by the admission in your own text, it only REALLY appeared in the radio series (and was cut down for the second novel). Thus I've moved the text to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (radio series) page, in the Trivia section, where I think it makes a better fit. Vorkosigan Saga Inconsistencies

I have nominated the afore mentioned article for deletion. Yes, this will be the second attempt at deletion. Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway

I'm intrigued as to where you got the information regarding train operations on "Laal Ratty" from? As a reasonably frequent visitor to the railway since the early 1980's, I can't ever recollect a time when the railway operated using physical "tablets" to ensure safe operation.

The Owl Service

Hi, I don't really think it's worth creating a page for "I've Seen a Ghost" as most people will probably want to read the complete chapter written by Peter Plummer rather than a synopsis. But do let me know if you have any other suggestions for topics that people may be interested in that I can add to "The Owl Service" entry. I will dig up the reference in MIAHM which talks about the laser guns. I had never thought about it that way. Waldo (short story)

Thank you for your interest in editing Heinlein topics. However, when you gutted the Waldo article to create the Waldo (short story) article, you thereby cut off the old edit history from the article. Gutting an article and putting into another article is generally not the way to do a rename, which is the net effect you wanted to accomplish. I agree with the intention to rename it, but It is far better to do an actual rename (Help:Moving a page). I will now attempt to restore the article and then do the move. Not being an expert on potholes myself, I think I'll leave the statement but put the fact tag immediately after "world's largest", since it could be true, AFAIK. That would apply if the image were a secondary one. It is currently the only one, and it is in the infobox which has a field specifically put there for images of book covers. If this image is not valid under fair use, no other image used similarly is valid either. That takes in just about every image used by Novels Wikiproject. Djdaedalus 17:03, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

I believe that you are correct. I have inquired several places, and the response I see is that nonfree images that are only decorative are not permitted. This is a shift from former practice where most books had a cover image. This is briefly described at the section on cover art at WP:NONFREE#Images.
