Angela Colmenero is an American lawyer who served as the interim Texas Attorney General from July 14 to September 16, 2023. She is the deputy chief of staff to Governor Greg Abbott and previously served as his principal deputy general counsel from 2021 to 2023.
Life
[edit]Colmenero is a Hispanic-American.[1] She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.[2] She earned a J.D. from the Notre Dame Law School.[2]

On July 14, 2023, Colmenero succeeded John B. Scott as the new interim Texas Attorney General.[3]
