Edgbarrow School has around 1100 pupils in total, and pupils come chiefly from Crowthorne Schools, such as Broadmoor School and Oaklands School. Whilst Crowthorne is a relativly small town, it was this year hugely oversubscribed <ref> Bracknell Forest Intake figures, 2006 </ref>. The school has two large playing fields and one astro-turf, which are all shared by Edgbarrow Sports Centre, run by Bracknell Forest Borough Council. The school itself is split into four main separate buildings, those being: the sprawling main block with a small quad consisting of English, Maths, Art, Languages, Drama, Music, CDT (ie. Electronics, Woodwork, Graphics etc); Humanities, consisting of Geography, History, ICT (Computing etc), Religious Studies and the school library; Science; Administration, consisting of the central office, conferencing facilities and reprographics. The latter was constructed in late 2003, whilst the main body of the school was constructed throughout the previous forty years.

Over 120 students <ref> Edgbarrow Sixth Form </ref> study at Edgbarrow Sixth Form, and the college has recently undertaken a trial in Fingerprint Recognition system, which teachers have proclaimed to be successful <ref> http://www.silicon.com/publicsector/0,3800010403,39160382,00.htm </ref>. As well as AS and A level subjects, students can currently also follow a [[GNVQ]] course at Edgbarrow Sixth Form, which is said to be an "equivelant" to four GCSEs <ref> http://www.qca.org.uk/2586_15095.html </ref>. The college is within the top 10% of A Level providers in Great Britain, and a new Sixth Form centre building will undergo construction mid-summer this year to allow a margin for the predicted increase in students over the coming years.
