Question regarding Bartley Crum: everywhere I read Crum was "labeled a subversive"; can this be further qualified as to who labeled Crum a subversive? Was it (a) HUAC; (b) the FBI; or (c) media outlets influencing popular percpetions. Thank you very much. Nobs01 3 July 2005 18:29 (UTC)

I personally knew the son and heard of his awful method of suicide (in front of his parents) but I do not have a citation on the method. Sorry for awful news, but may as well be complete. Carrionluggage 05:44, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear - Cleared

[edit]

Which president liked Crum's book? What was the controversy between Crum's daughter and Trumbo's son? It's not clear from the paragraph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1000:B030:F407:E813:C6AB:879E:58F5 (talk) 12:19, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
