Military Engineer Services (MES) [1] is a military engineering organization of the Bangladesh Armed Forces under the Ministry of Defense of Bangladesh. All cantonments of Bangladesh have a unit of this organization named "GE/AGE (Army/Navy/Air)". He is responsible for the construction, development and maintenance of cantonments, institutions, educational institutions of the Provisional Forces of Bangladesh. Besides, this organization has special contribution in various government projects. Its headquarters is located at Senasadar E'insi branch office in Dhaka Cantonment.

MES is responsible for the construction and maintenance of all cantonments, temporary force educational institutions, organizations in Bangladesh. ==History==
After the independence of [[India]] and [[Pakistan]] the name changed to [[Eastern Command of the Pakistan Army|Military Engineer Services]] [[East Pakistan]]. But the headquarters of the organisation was in the [[Pakistan|West Pakistan]]. After the independence of Bangladesh the name currently changed to [[Military Engineer Services (Bangladesh)|Military Engineer Services Bangladesh]] and it started to serve the [[Bangladesh Armed Forces]] since 1975.

Major General Fazlur Rahman Al Mamun is the first [[Engineer-in-Chief (Bangladesh army)|E in C]] of [[Military Engineer Services (Bangladesh)|Military Engineer Services of Bangladesh]].

History

After the independence of India and Pakistan the name changed to Military Engineer Services East Pakistan. But the headquarters of the organisation was in the West Pakistan. After the independence of Bangladesh the name currently changed to Military Engineer Services Bangladesh and it started to serve the Bangladesh Armed Forces since 1975.

Major General Fazlur Rahman Al Mamun is the first E in C of Military Engineer Services of Bangladesh.

Zones

All Cantonments, DOHS, , Military Hospitals, Office and residential area which is under the Bangladesh Armed Forces is under control for development by the Military Engineer Services. This places are build develop and secured by the organisation. 12 Cadet Colleges of Bangladesh were also build and developed by this organisation.

Work

This organisation 24/7 hours give services to the Military personals. It is also responsible to provide electricity, gas, water, building and bathroom accessories, military infrastructure development and demolish secure environment to live etc and many more.
