Female genital mutilation in Emberá culture
[edit]This section is based on the 2015 article by Anastasia Moloney. However, the incident of the girl dying of genital mutilation occurred in 2012, not 2007, and the girl died of blood loss and not an infection. This rises substantial doubt about the accuracy of Ms. Moloney's work. At least it should be corrected.

It is very sad to see the plastic tent- like structures they live in.
