== Economy and law by country removals ==

Currently, we have 24 "Politics by country," 34 "Economy by country," and 37 "Law by country" articles. I won’t go into the details of each entry, but I want to consider whether some of these articles truly deserve VA5 status. For example, are there specific elements of the {{VA link|Law of the Netherlands}} or the {{VA link|Law of Romania}} that are essential for an average, educated person? Should we focus on countries in greater flux, like {{VA link|Economy of Argentina}}, rather than larger economies like Poland or Taiwan? These proposals aim to reduce to 30 the number of "Law" and "Economy by country" entries. If you disagree, let me know if it’s the specific countries selected or if the list is already appropriately sized and doesn’t need significant cuts.
*{{VA link|Economy of the Republic of Ireland}}
*{{VA link|Economy of Switzerland}}
*{{VA link|Economy of South Africa}}

*{{VA link|Law of Mexico}}

*For the econ removals, I used [[List of countries by GDP (PPP)]] for reference. The proposed economies are the lowest ranked among the ones listed. The Law by country articles have 5 or fewer interwikis.

You could argue that they are not all that different from the others in terms of the achievements of the person holding the spot, but that seems to me to be more of a reason to remove them than otherwise. I don't enjoy going against gender parity, but (along with Marta) she's the only South American woman we list. I would rather have someone like Gabriela Mistral or Eva Perón, who's also Argentinian and a widely known figure in global pop culture. Maybe also Juana de la Cruz, who is not South American but is increasingly seen as the greatest writer of the Colonial-era Americas.
