#REDIRECT Tekkaman Blade
The System Boxes, or Tekno-Crystals in the American dub, are fictional items within the series Tekkaman Blade , its American adaptation, Teknoman and the OVA Tekkaman Blade II. The ones used in the original series differ slightly to those used in the OVA.

The Original Series
These crystals were very mineral-like in appearance, looking like sharp square cuts of the substance. Blade's Crystal is called "Emerald" by the narrator, however. The rest are made from an unknown substance which was created by the Radam, in particular, Omega. It is shown that once a Tekkaman is dead, or near dying, the crystal can be passed on in one piece, as long as the Tekkaman didn't die in an explosion. An explosion would have vaporized the body of the Tekkaman, and as such, either scattered the many fragments of the crystal around the world, or the crystal vapourises along with the body. In the event of a crystal being shattered, the fragments can be used by any Tekkaman to receive a temporary power boost. It is also shown that the crystal possesses immense power when in one piece; after Blade's is shattered, having to use synthetic fragments to replace those lost greatly reduces his stregnth; in the beginning he is shown flying through space perfectly fine, after his crystal is shattered he can barely fly under his own power for a few minutes.

Blade's crystal was shattered by Dagger, one of the Tekkamen that served Omega, and the Radam. Dagger brought Blade into a trap using a phony SOS message, and then the Quantum Disruptor Crystals placed around the Orbital Ring where the conflict takes place. This had some effect on the Tekno-Crystal and rendered it useless, if Blade tried to Transform it the crystal would set around him and cause him intense pain.Repeated attempts to transform finally caused it to shatter. After this, Blade requires the use of Pegas to transform, the shattered parts of his crystal are used, along with some synthesized parts to replace those lost. In the Tekkaman Blade II OVA, Blade is shown with a fully functioning crystal, with no need for Pegas at all. (This may be due to his restoration in the 'Missing Link' special.

Evil's crystal was red, just like the rest of the evil Tekkamen. The crystal has two modes, Pre-Transform and Transform. This Tekno-crystal appeared to be made of Ruby just like those of Axe, Sword, Lance and Dagger. The wings deploy prior to activation. In Tekkaman Blade II, Evil's crystal is identical to the one used by Aki Kisaragi to transform into The Red Devil.

Miyuki's crystal is Pink and sharp looking as with her armour and her weapon. After Miyiki's demise, the crystal shattered and fragments were scattered around the world. Blade located a fragment of Miyuki's crystal after her death and said it was a final gift from her.

Dagger
Dagger's crystal is red like all the other Evil Tekkamen. the Main body resemble's Blades, with the two thin wings like that of Miyuki's. What happenes to the crystal after Dagger dies is unknown.

Axe
Axe's Crystal is very large, mirroring his Tekkaman state. Axe is aware before his death that Blade is after his crystal; this was one of the large factors influencing his decision to self-destruct and destroy his crystal rather than die and leave his crystal for someone to take it.

Lance
Lance's Crystal wasn't seen in the dub version of the series, though many speculate it would be long, thin and spiky like his Tekkaman form.
