Paryse Martin (May 4, 1959 – March 4, 2024) was an American-born Canadian artist. She worked in multiple disciplines, including painting, sculpture, illustration, and animation.
Life and work
[edit]Paryse Martin was born in Caribou, Maine, in the United States.[1] In 1986, she completed her bachelor's degree in fine art from Université Laval, followed by her Master's of Fine Arts in 1994, again at Laval.[2] Martin became a professor of fine art at Université Laval in 2000, where she continued to work. In 2007, she completed PhD in art at the Université du Québec à Montréal.[2]
Martin died from heart disease on March 4, 2024, at the age of 64.[3]
