==Some suggestions== |
Keeping the precedent of other artists in mind, it would be best if Carrie Underwood's discography and awards were moved to their own articles rather than left to clutter the mother article.UberCryxic 23:25, 21 May 2007 (UTC) |
Ok I've gone ahead and created separate articles for the discography and the awards. It's really brought down the length of the article.UberCryxic 03:51, 26 May 2007 (UTC) |
i think it was better when it was all on one page especially the discography the awrds could go on a seperate thing but i think having her discography on the one page is best |
can we get some information on her second album put up |
I think the introduction is heavily dedicated to album sales and stuff like that - there should be some other information on her in the introduction, not just album sales. |
==2nd Album== |
It's confirmed to be coming out October 23. Let's get that up. It should have the first single coming out in the next 3 weeks. :) <small>—The preceding unsigned comment was added by {65.31.150.27}}}}|{{{IP|{65.31.150.27}}}} ({65.31.150.27}}}}|talk) {{{Time|{}}}}</small><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> |

:We can't put anything about the second album in unless we have reliable sources. Do you have any sources to validate the existence of the second album? Acalamari 03:19, 17 July 2007 (UTC) |
*Does anyone have any sources for her second album? The only text that's being added is that the album's release date is October 23rd, but that the title is unconfirmed. Also, "rumored tracks" were added, which I had to remove. Acalamari 17:42, 17 July 2007 (UTC) |
*Sources are everywhere. Type Carrie Underwood on Google and it's the top article. |
:Here's a link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19811621 . The only information revealed about the album is the release date. --JYi 20:39, 17 July 2007 (UTC) |
::I've re-added the information, along with the source. Acalamari 20:43, 17 July 2007 (UTC) |
*Where is the source for the title? The previous source was put in the wrong spot. All the source said was that Carrie is planning to release the album on the 23rd of October. Omghgomg 06:01, 26 August 2007 (UTC) |
**There isn't a source for it at the moment, and one is needed. Otherwise, the information about the title will get removed. Acalamari 15:43, 26 August 2007 (UTC) |
::I'm going to remove it now until there is a reliable source. Omghgomg 07:54, 27 August 2007 (UTC) |
Can we have semi-protection on this article? Constantly, people have been editing the article by claiming that Carrie's next album is Carnival Ride. This, as of now, is still UNSOURCED. I don't want to constanty revert back to the original form. Omghgomg 11:37, 27 August 2007 (UTC) |
:I looked through the recent history of this article, and at the moment, there is not enough disruptive activity to semi-protect the page; if this page was requested for semi-protection at RFPP, it would be declined. However, if the rate of additions of unsourced information increases, then it'll need protecting. For now, we can just revert. Acalamari 16:12, 27 August 2007 (UTC) |
Possible source: http://www.jrecords.com, at the search box on top, type in "Carrie Underwood", and Carnival Ride is listed under Some Hearts at the bottom. I don't know if this qualifies as a source though. JYi 00:02, 28 August 2007 (UTC) |
:Is there a better source than that one? I couldn't access the page, as it required a certain piece of software. That source may cause problems for some users when they visit it. Acalamari 20:58, 28 August 2007 (UTC) |
*Actually, it seems that someone has now found a better source for the information. Acalamari 16:07, 30 August 2007 (UTC) |

== New Page for awards == |
If you read the article, you can see that Carrie Underwood's awards and nominations keeps piling up and up. Hence, I'm planning to be bold and <s>make a new article dedicated to her awards and nominations.</s> I'll wait and see if anyone has any objections to that. Omghgomg 11:08, 7 August 2007 (UTC) |

Who's Better? - The talented country singer gave praise to Clarkson during a Grammy Party in 2006 where she said that she has made a lead and Underwood stated and wished that herself would be able to be in her shoes(Clarkson's Success). Underwood has paid through it all and made sexy slithering singles, music videos and dazzling performances that are vibrantly beautiful. Her success may have been stated as better than Clarkson's, but many disagree and prefers the beautiful competitor idol rock chick. Many fans build up rivalries and problems up to their success, but Clarkson is noted to be the most successful with chart topping singles through many different genres. Underwood has a way different sound vocally and her voice is not mature enough for songs that are more in the 'pop' style. Clarkson on the other side is very mature for any type of music/genres making her a more talented one. As Simon Cowell have said on American Idol that Clarkson is the best by a Mile from all of the other winners of American Idol. So Some Hearts is a very successful album for Carrie, but it doesn't make her any better than Clarkson's sexy and rocking vocals. <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.132.50.8 (talk) 17:52, 19 September 2007 (UTC)</small><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot--> |

“Carrie Underwood was among the stars who took the stage at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, delivering a scorching tribute to inductee George Michael by singing ‘One More Try’ in his honor. The country superstar delivered a note-perfect rendition of the powerful ballad, which served as the fourth single from Michael’s landmark 1987 album, Faith. Underwood gives a tightly controlled, but emotionally vulnerable performance. Alexdbart (talk) 13:48, 23 September 2024 (UTC) |
