'''Lorain Admiral King High School''' is a [[public high school]] located in [[Lorain, Ohio]]. It opened in 1961 and is named for Lorain native [[Admiral Ernest J. King]], [[Chief of Naval Operations]] during [[World War II|WWII]]. It is one of two high schools in the [[Lorain City Schools]] district (the other being Southview High School). In [[1995]], due to declining district enrollment, the school district closed cross-town rival Lorain High School, and merged the student body and student records into the Admiral King High School facility. As a part of the merger, Admiral King High School was renamed Lorain Admiral King High School. Currently Lorain Admiral King is separated into three independently administrated "small schools": |
