Family

[edit]

There was an article in today's paper which tells us a bit more about the Orlikow family. As of the date of the article, the following is true:

Val and David's only daughter, Leslie, is a 59 year old health care professional.

Leslie's daughter (and Val and David's granddaughter) Sarah Anne Johnson is an artist most famous for her "Tree Planting" exhibit.

Sarah Anne Johnson is 31 years old and was 14 when her grandmother Val died. Sarah Anne Johnson's latest project to deal with how what the CIA did to Val Orlikow affected, not just Val Orlikow, but herself and her mother.

This is topical because related to the experience of the Native People in Residential schools also visit the generations - and other situations where the trauma of a parent or grandparent visits the whole family as told in Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine.
