Their respective bosses command them to go to a school where their task is to abduct rich man Seth Mathur's son, Bittoo and bring him in so as to demand a huge ransom. Vijay and Sunil fake their identities and join the school as Ram and Lakshman, respectively. Ram is appointed as a P.E. instructor while Lakshman is made the music teacher. On their journey towards the task, Ram meets Anju the principal's daughter while Lakshman meets Shalu the dance teacher. Both the ladies, unaware of their background and motive, fall in love.


Vijay and Sunil get close to Bittoo so as to lure him but as days pass by, both of them realize their true affection for that boy and drop their plan of abducting him. Meanwhile, Anju and Shalu come to know of their lovers' true identity and by their word of love and affection change them for good. Sunil's boss Uncle Jagdish loses hope on him and he himself comes up with a plan and abducts the boy. Vijay and Sunil join hands to save the boy from Uncle Jagdish and rescue him with Uncle Jagdish and his henchmen being arrested by the police eventually.
Vijay ([[Amitabh Bachchan]]) and Sunil ([[Shashi Kapoor]]) are rival burglars who end up at the same place, at the same time whenever they attempt a robbery. As a result they both get caught and are imprisoned.

On release from prison, Vijay finds out about a plot to kidnap a millionaire Seth Mathur ([[Shreeram Lagoo]])'s son Bittu by an underworld boss popularly known as 'Uncle Jagdish' ([[Kader Khan]]) who calls all his henchmen 'Bhatijas' (nephews). Vijay decides to try it himself. Uncle has an old enemity with the Seth. Due to repeated attempts to kidnap his son, Seth provides elaborate security for Bittu all the time. On advice of a school teacher, he gets his son admitted at a nearby boarding school. Vijay procures fake certificates and joins the boarding school as a [[Physical education|PE]] Instructor named Ram. Meanwhile coincidentally Sunil gets released from Jail and gets advised by "Uncle" Jagdish to also join the boarding school as Music Teacher Lakshman. The rest of the movie focuses on how how Ram and Lakshman try to out-do each other to kidnap the little boy. Ram gets involved with Principal's daughter Anju ([[Parveen Babi]]) and Lakshman gets involved with a fellow-teacher Shalu. ([[Hema Malini]]) All hell breaks loose when Anju and Shalu discover Ram and Laxshman's true identities. Now they want them to set the right the wrong. How will Uncle take this? Will the ex-burglars turn into nice guys? How do they stop Uncle from executing his dirty scheme?

Do Aur Do Paanch (transl.Two and two make five) is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film produced by Devar Films and directed by Rakesh Kumar. The film stars Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan,[1] Hema Malini[2] and Parveen Babi.[3]
