i have j22 that i liked very wella camper and fishing gun, but the last time it shot the barrel and slide fell apart. this was after many boxes of shells, all good quality higher power shells. I cant find anybody to replace it, or the cost. www.dhub62521@aol.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.3.13.1 (talk) 04:31, 24 October 2009 (UTC) |

Blog references aren't reliable and should not be cited, especially since I disagree with the information being published. I can make a humorous Internet page and post false claims about the Jennings J-22 reliability & accuracy too -- maybe all about it being a wonderful target gun (they're not of course). I've test fired more than a few of these things, I've also owned a J22 myself since the early 1990's, it is a cheap pocket pistol that will work if you use the right kind of ammunition. You can not use low velocity target ammo in the J-22 or it will jam. They still aren't the most reliable guns when loaded with high quality CCI MiniMag or Stingers, but I guarantee that "review" would have gone better if he had tried some different types of ammunition, good for safe plinking and basic self-defense. It is a cheap and junky little gun that you might buy at your local pawn shop, but the time-tested Browning blow-back design will work 100% if paired with the right type of ammo and I think it's sad people might avoid these cheapos because of these tall Internet tales and talk of J-22 slides flying down range, etc. Most people aren't going to take a $400 S&W revolver fishing whereas no problem with a $40 Jennings! Better to have something in your pocket, more than a just Buck knife anyhow. |

The term "ring of fire" is a politically charged NPOV term invented by Handgun Control Inc (now the Brady Campaign) to create a negative image of several CA firearm manufacturers. It was used nowhere outside their press releases and a few media articles that quoted them. In that context, it may be worth mentioning in the Brady article, but it is not appropriate for an NPOV article about the firearm. I have removed itMzmadmike (talk) 09:20, 13 December 2009 (UTC) |
