Graduate of the unstitute of advanced studies of rural law and agricultural economics (IHEDREA), she became, in 1990, technical assistant for the Inter-Communal Charter of Management and Development of Trégor Rural, one of the nine historical provinces of Brittany (it includes the western part of the department of Cotes-d'Armor). In 1997, she became assistant parliamentarian for [[Alain Gouriou]], deputy mayor of Lannion (Cotes-d'Armor). In 2004 she was elected regional advisor for Brittany. In 2006, Alain Gouriou officially announced that he would not represent himself in the legislative elections.

Corinne Erhel was born on 3 February 1967 in Quimper, Finistère.[1] She graduated from the institute of advanced studies of rural law and agricultural economics (IHEDREA).[2]

Career

Erhel joined the Socialist Party.[1] In 1997, she became assistant parliamentarian for Alain Gouriou, deputy mayor of Lannion.[2] In 2004 she was elected regional advisor for Brittany.[1]

Erhel served as a member of the National Assembly from 2007 to 2017.[1]

Death

On 5 May 2017, Erhel died after collapsing while she was giving a speech at a meeting in support of Emmanuel Macron for the 2017 French presidential election.[2][3]
