Our Man Flint
#REDIRECT Our Man Flint
Pleasure Unit is the name of several fictional characters in the 1966 sci-fi action film Our Man Flint.

The trio of mad scientists who lead Galaxy, Dr. Schneider (played by Benson Fong), Dr. Krupov (played by Rhys Williams), and Dr. Wu (played by Peter Brocco), established a paradise for their confederates on a South Pacific Island. As part of that paradise, they provided a series of Reward Rooms, in which their male associates could frolic with an assortment of beautiful women. These women were not just party girls, they were the Pleasure Units.

In an attempt to discourage superspy Derek Flint (played by James Coburn) from thwarting their plan to conquer the world, Galaxy had abducted his three playmates: Sakito (played by Helen Funai), Anna (played by Sigrid Valdis), and Leslie (played by Shelby Grant). They were added to the staff of Pleasure Units. Dressed in flesh-toned leotards, each was strapped in a chair before a whirling disk of spiralling lights and had a set of earphones placed on their heads. They were forced to listen to three commands on an endless loop:

:"My sole purpose in life is to bring pleasure to my companion. Repeat"
:"All that is asked of me, I will perform. Repeat."
:"It is an honor to offer my body to the service of Galaxy. Repeat."

This induction procedure created a state of suggestibility, as in hypnosis, and after a short time the women began repeating, and believing, the commands. Once this was accomplished, the women were released from their chairs. Each was branded on the upper arm with a unique serial number, and then led to separate robing rooms. There, they donned costumes appropriate for the Reward Room assigned them, and joined the revelry.

Gila, played by Gila Golan, was a Galaxy agent who failed to capture Flint. As punishment, one of her colleagues, Malcolm Rodney (played by Edward Mulhare), suggested "As a woman, there is one way in which you may best serve Galaxy." She was taken to the Preparation Room and inducted. However, Flint took pity on her and snapped her out of her trance. She persuaded him to brand her anyway and, as Pleasure Unit 736, she entered the Reward Rooms. There, she rendezvoused with Flint and they rescued his playmates. They found Sakito in the disco, Anna in a Grecian bath, and Leslie, dressed in a cheerleader outfit, in the back seat of a stationary convertible car in a drive-in theater mock-up. Together, they escaped the island (just before it exploded, thanks to some sabotage on Flint's part).
