Aptiv's roots in Packard Electric

Delphi Packard Electric Systems redirects to Aptiv, yet there is no mention of Packard Electric in Aptiv's history section. To imply that Aptiv's history began in 1994, without mentioning it's roots in Packard Electric of Warren Ohio, which existed as a GM division for the majority of the 20th century, produced key electrical components for millions of cars and trucks under numerous brands across the world, and was divested by GM in the 1990s as part of what would become Delphi, is to overlook a critical part of Aptiv's history and exclude Packard Electric's history from Wikipedia. -There is a lot of false information in this page that needs correcting, but I don't have the time to research what is correct.  But I know that they are not closing the plant in Saginaw, Mi and that the world headquarters are also located in Saginaw, Mi.

The Saginaw plant will most likely be sold; it is not among the 8 plants Delphi intends to keep, but is still successful enough that other companies and investors are interested in it. -The article is a little bland.  I may attempt to type something up in the next month or so.  TO answer the question above, GM and Delphi have compeletely separated and GM is a customer of Delphi.  The SEC may have been looking over records from when Delphi was a series of smaller companies which were owned by General Motors.  As well, even tho Delphi is a separate company now, upon leaving GM, is took upon it many of the deals that GM had made with its customers, employees and the UAW.  Which is why, for instance, Delphi is looking for GM to pick up 1 billion of the pension program--among other costs.
