Pooh first worked at the now-defunct Nota'Kwela, a comedy bar in Caloocan. He then moved to Music Box and later to Jazz Café. He was eventually scouted by Andrew del Real of The Library. |

Pooh first became a hit among patrons of Library, the popular comedy sing-along bar in Malate where he was an in-house performer. With nightly practice, his segment billed as "Ayaw kong maging boxer. Gusto kong maging beauty queen!" [I don’t want to be a boxer. I want to be a beauty queen!] became a favorite among the habitués and has already spread through the country. His stints on local TV has propelled him to greater heights and now his name has become a byword in the world of comic impersonation. He also has shows in Punchline, Laffline, and Metro Bar. |

Pooh got his stage name from Winnie-the-Pooh. He recalls being the unofficial entertainer of his classmates during high school. Whenever they would go out, his usual line was "Akin ang chika, sa inyo ang pera" ["You pay the bills and I will entertain you with stories.]" |
|||
In the same year<!---2013--->, he expressed contentment with his involvement in the show and wouldn't mind if he were offered additional roles or not, and would not rather force a role onto himself which he considered as not his forte. He said that he would rather not become as popular as Vice Ganda, as he wouldn't be able to handle the fame. |

Pooh has bought a house and a car out of his earnings. He is also sending a number of nieces and nephews to school. |

Though a dynamite performer, Pooh is a quiet person offstage. From time to time, he would look back and reflect on how things have changed for him. “I don’t know how long this joy ride is going to last, that’s why I’m making the most out of these wonderful times,” he intoned. |

Career
[edit]Pooh first worked at the now-defunct Nota'Kwela, a comedy bar in Caloocan. He then moved to Music Box and later to Jazz Café. He was eventually scouted by Andrew del Real of The Library.
