== A cheeseburger for you! == |
|||
==Vicky Hamilton== |
|||
If you are working directly with her, you have a major conflict of interest. Wikipedia policy very strongly discourages anyone from writing an article about themselves, or having someone write one about them. The subject of an article, or someone in his or her employ, is not likely to be an objective judge of whether or not someone meets out notability standards. Furthermore, he or she is not likely to present a fair, balanced, neutral point of view about the person, including any information which may portray the subject in a negative light. I strongly suggest you stop working on this article right away, and let someone who has no connection with Hamilton write an article instead. Otherwise, the article may be seen as self-promotion, and subject to deletion. - Realkyhick <small>(Talk to me)</small> 05:25, 23 September 2010 (UTC) |

Hey, someone nominated a page you created for a speedy deletion since it was too early for it to be in the mainspace. Hi. Regarding your recent edit at 2015 Tennessee Volunteers football team, "12:00 p.m." is in fact incorrect, and "Noon" is correct. Thank you for assessing with the PPI, assessing with this project will probably be different than assessing with other projects in Wikipedia. It's different because the many of the articles are stub, start, or C class, and we are not working to assess long lists of articles, but will have multiple reviewers assessing the same set of articles. We are looking for Wikipedians who want to take a more in depth look at assessment and help define what is article quality. Please go to the WP:USPP Assessment page to find more details and your assessment page with the first group of articles for you to evaluate. Thanks and happy editing, ARoth (Public Policy Initiative) (talk) 21:48, 30 September 2010 (UTC) |

==Disambiguation link notification for December 4== |
|||
:Hi MDSanker, recently you signed up to help with assessment on Wikiproject: United States Public Policy. This project is probably different than other assessment drives you have worked on, it involves more assessment of lower ranked articles, it has input and staff from the foundation, and specific goals to improve and measure content of public policy articles. It also involves collaboration from some university classes, we are using an experimental assessment rubric, and most articles will be assessed by multiple reviewers to get a range of scores for each article. It's a lot to digest, and totally understandable if it's not what signed up for. However, there are also some exciting perks to this project: 1) your assessments are part of research that is attempting to increase credibility of Wikipedia in academic circles, 2) there is a great group of assessors involved in discussion of what is article quality and how to measure it, 3) WP:USPP is also piloting the Article Feedback tool, so those involved in assessment on the project will be asked to help improve and rate this tool as well, 4) subject matter experts are assessing articles alongside Wikipedians and comparisons of results will provide some insight as to the rigor of Wikipedia quality rating, and 5) other interesting benefits you will find with participation. |

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1982 Vanderbilt Commodores football team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 1982 college football season. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. <small>Read the FAQ Join us at the DPL WikiProject.</small> |

:The first group of articles requesting your assessment has been posted. I was hoping to do a preliminary comparison of the data on 8 October 2010. The second assessment request, which is part of the same comparison, will go out about the same time. To help with organization, if you haven't posted any assessment scores on your assessment page by 8 October 2010, I will delete your assessment request and you will not receive further requests. I hope the unusualness of this assessment research does not discourage your participation; if you are not interested working in the research I hope you will continue to assess articles within the project. If possible let me know on my talk page if you don't wish to be a part of the research, or perhaps if there was some confusion or bad communication; what the public policy team, and I, in particular, can do to make it more positive for volunteers. Remember, I am new to Wikipedia and trying to learn the best way to research this project, to hopefully integrate the amazing resource that is Wikipedia onto more university campuses and classrooms. == WP:USPP, still interested?== |

MDSanker, you signed up to assess with WP:USPP. If you are interested in public policy or assessment, check out your assessment page, because there is a lot happening on the project. Most of the recruitment for the assessment team was targeted, so I know you have a lot to offer to the research goals of this project. I posted the second assessment request and there will now be a weekly update on the project assessment page. If you are no longer interested in working on this project, I promise this is the last message you will get, but I hope you decide to check it out. Hi MDSanker, you expressed interest in assessing articles with WikiProject: U.S. Public Policy on my talk page last month. Your participation is very welcomed and will contribute to the research in the Public Policy Initiative. The project has been pretty exciting; there are over 25 university classes signed up for spring semester. This project is about more than public policy; it is about using Wikipedia as a teaching tool and recruiting (and hopefully retaining) college students as editors. Please jump in, you can join the ongoing assessments here and here. Look for new assessment requests in the blue box of the project assessment page. I am the research analyst for the project, feel free to contact me. Thank you for uploading :File:Randy Piper WAS.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged. |

Hi, just a FYI, I fixed the infobox, the "background" parameter only gets one choice, so I put solo singer, since he was not a "non vocal instrumentalist". See: Template:Infobox musical artist. == Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference == |
|||
== Vanderbilt rankings table == |
|||
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled. |
|||
They have not received a single vote all year. They are already 4-4, 1-3 in SEC. There is no way they get any votes this year. There is no reason to have an entire table just to say they weren't ranked and were no where close to being ranked. Its just one less thing that won't need to be updated every week or removed at the end of the season.Bsuorangecrush (talk) 01:16, 24 October 2016 (UTC) |
|||
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was <code>true</code>. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to <code>false</code> in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way. |
|||

You are right, I overreacted and that was very rude of me. It was because you undid my edits, but it was still unjustified. I apologize for that. Merveilleux (talk) 20:22, 19 September 2011 (UTC) |

Can you please explain to me why you reverted my edits this time? Corporate sponsors, unless it is in fact the name of the game like the Russell Athletic Bowl or the Foster Farms Bowl should not be included on Wikipedia on season articles. And you removed the year from the bowl in the info box so instead of liking to the actual game it goes to the more ambiguous Independence Bowl page. You removed the opponent from the info box which makes no sense since that is always present for bowl games. And you removed the head to head record box, which is present for every other game on the article. So please, what was worth reverting about any of that? Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, :Water (Water Saigon Kick album). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – :Water (Saigon Kick album). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :Water (Saigon Kick album). If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page. |
|||
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the , or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.<!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Fram (talk) 08:49, 2 June 2022 (UTC) |

[edit]Hey, someone nominated a page you created for a speedy deletion since it was too early for it to be in the mainspace. It is too soon, but I think it'd be a waste to delete everything entirely so I moved it all to User:MDSanker/2015 Vanderbilt Commodores football team. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:04, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi. Regarding your recent edit at 2015 Tennessee Volunteers football team, "12:00 p.m." is in fact incorrect, and "Noon" is correct. This is because of the Manual of Style requirements of WP:TIME, which dictates this format. Thanks! BenYes? 22:23, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]Hi. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hi, just a FYI, I fixed the infobox, the "background" parameter only gets one choice, so I put solo singer, since he was not a "non vocal instrumentalist". See: Template:Infobox musical artist. The entry that was in that parameter was causing it to go into the maintenance fix category for the template. Funandtrvl (talk) 19:15, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your recent work. I still have to find the time to do 1904 and 1905, but I've at least done something for all the other great McGugin years. Would appreciate you one day looking for any mistakes in them. Cake (talk) 07:21, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
- @MDSanker: With your connection to Dickson and the military, you might find the 1915 Vanderbilt v. Ole Miss game of interest. Cake (talk) 15:30, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- I will look for the info on the game. Also on the PDF Vanderbilt University Quarterly they have the 1908 football revenue for the season and each game profit and loss. I was wondering if it would be info that the page would need? MDSanker 15:49, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

Vanderbilt rankings table
[edit]They have not received a single vote all year. They are already 4-4, 1-3 in SEC. There is no way they get any votes this year. There is no reason to have an entire table just to say they weren't ranked and were no where close to being ranked. Its just one less thing that won't need to be updated every week or removed at the end of the season.Bsuorangecrush (talk) 01:16, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- It's Vanderbilt football, of course I can predict what is going to happen. Everyone can predict what will happen. It's Vanderbilt!Bsuorangecrush (talk) 01:22, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

Reverted edits...
[edit]Can you please explain to me why you reverted my edits this time? Corporate sponsors, unless it is in fact the name of the game like the Russell Athletic Bowl or the Foster Farms Bowl should not be included on Wikipedia on season articles. And you removed the year from the bowl in the info box so instead of liking to the actual game it goes to the more ambiguous Independence Bowl page. You removed the opponent from the info box which makes no sense since that is always present for bowl games. And you removed the head to head record box, which is present for every other game on the article. So please, what was worth reverting about any of that? Bsuorangecrush (talk) 16:51, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- I find it extremely rude that a military member would say "I don't think it matters that I reverted your edits as long as it was correct in the end". I was right the first time. Your reverts and edits were the problem yet you don't admit any wrong doing.Bsuorangecrush (talk) 23:06, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

Scores
[edit]Please see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College football/Archive 19#Score format in season article schedule tables on how the scores should be listed in season articles. The WikiProject College football members had a discussion and as a result, the highest score comes first, regardless of whether or not the home team is the winner or loser. [edit]Your contributed article, Water (Water Saigon Kick album)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Water (Water Saigon Kick album). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Water (Saigon Kick album). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Water (Saigon Kick album). If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Fram (talk) 08:49, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- If you had a page before. Why was it not linked to the Saigon Kick band page? It was not linked to there albums or anything else. The only thing that was linked was back to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saigon_Kick page. I only made a new page is because there was not one before. MDSanker 21:41, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
