Hello. Regarding your request for protection of the Donald Igwebuike article, could you clarify a couple of things for me? You stated in this edit that the information could only be included if it was properly sourced, but even after sources were provided, you continued to remove it noting that the editors re-adding the info and sources are socks of ViperNerd. Also as a point of reference, Wikipedia:Banning policy does allow for the wholesale reversion of all edits by banned editors, however ViperNerd was blocked, not banned. Thanks, — Kralizec! (talk) 16:52, 14 September 2009 (UTC) |

*:Sure, no problem. I disagree with the premise of your question that the article is now properly (well) sourced about a negative and contentious episode related to the subject. The listed references leave something to be desired. WP:BLP is very clear that unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material be immediately removed, and I believe the listed reference still falls short. In addition, the editor was definitely an IP sock of indefinitely-blocked User:ViperNerd and was continuing his past patterns of behavior of disrupting Wikipedia and attempting to create conflict and edit war rather than actually trying to help the project. The sock has been blocked under the sockpuppet investigation. As far as the revert that included the reference, I originally removed the unsourced, negative content per WP:BLP, then the sock showed up and reverted my edit and added a reference, but I reverted the edit and reported the sock. I gave more weight to WP:BLP concerns than protecting the edit privileges of an indefinitely blocked user. And yes, I do know the nuances between indefinitely-blocked and banned, but thanks for asking!--[[User:CobraGeek|< |

I'm so out of wiki editing it's sad. I took a quick shot, but it didn't work. My guess is that you've just got some extra white space in between some of the wiki conditional code, like {{if: {{{ ... that extra space between can sometimes be a big deal. That or extra line feeds. What I did (if you look at the history to the template) you'll see removed items 2-6 completely, even though they were used, and line 1 was on the same as the title. Sorry I can't really help you. [[User:MECU|< |

==Request for help on Template:CFB Team Depth Chart/doc== |
|||
I noticed you've done many of the edits on the CFB Team Depth Chart Template, so I've come to ask for help with an error I've noticed. When you do the reference on the depth chart as it is shown [url title], it just lists a reference mark in the reference list. It doesn't list the reference itself, and it doesn't link to the exterior reference. Now if you add the ref tag at the front and the end, it will list it twice in the bottom, once with just a triangle saying there is a link and once with the reference title itself. There has to be some way to correct this where it will show and link to the reference at the bottom in the reflist, which it currently doesn't. If you want an example, check out the page I've been working on, 2012 BYU Cougars football team. You'll notice the reflist shows there are references for the defensive and offensive starters, but it doesn't list them at the bottom and link to them off of Wiki like it should. |

- Okay, thanks a bunch for trying it out, I really do appreciate it. I took a look at the generated HTML in the final page, and for some reason there is an inserted paragraph and break after the final item:
<p><br /></p>
- This HTML is not inserted after the other items in the list, so I need to find out why this is getting there, which kind of leads me right back to your suggestion - to look for the white space there in the code. Thanks again!--CobraGeek The Geek 01:56, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
